Toasted Almond Iced Coffee
After the hazelnut iced coffee left us with a mouthful of artificial flavors, we didn’t have high hopes for the toasted almond. We thought it would probably taste like bottled almond extract. We were surprised to find that it exceeded our low expectations.
This flavor is one of the unsweetened ones, so it’s up to your discretion how much sweetener you want to add. We found that it was delicious when combined with the natural sweetness of whole milk and nothing else. It tasted shockingly like real almonds, with a pleasant roasty, nutty flavor.
One criticism we have of the toasted almond is it’s subtleness. We had to really focus to notice its flavor over the coffee and milk. You might want to ask for extra shots if you like an assertively nutty taste in your coffee. However, since so many of the flavored coffees at Dunkin’ are too aggressive, the low-key flavor of toasted almond felt pretty refreshing.
How Does Dunkin Make Their Iced Lattes
Dunkin Donuts iced lattes use high-quality beans such as those Arabian beans, which are rich in cocoa fragrance and dark flavor for the espresso shots and latte. It also helps maintain the taste and flavor of their Dunkin Donuts signature latte.
They use cold milk, which is directly mixed with the espresso to render a mild taste. Also, the brand uses a very soft and frothy layer of cream, which balances the sourness or the dark flavor of espresso and makes it light and smoother. Lastly, Dunkin Donuts pours its unique sauces, syrups, or drizzles into the latte in adequate amounts to add a touch of sweetness and a few ice cubes to maintain the consistency and coldness of the beverage.
What Time Does Dunkin Donuts Close
Dunkin Donuts closes anywhere from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. depending on the stores location and time of the week. Many stores stay open until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and choose to close at 10 p.m. on weekends to accommodate the higher foot traffic on Friday and Saturday nights. Just like opening hours, closing hours are up to the franchise owner.

French Vanilla Swirl Iced Coffee
French vanilla is the second-sweetest syrup at Dunkin’. We were worried that this would taste like French vanilla nondairy creamer, but we were pleasantly surprised at how real the vanilla tasted. It had very little of the strange fake taste we’ve come to associate with bargain-priced vanilla coffee products. Instead, it tasted like high-quality pure vanilla paste or vanilla extract.
The combination of the vanilla and creamy flavors along with the slightly smoky notes of Dunkin’s iced coffee was reminiscent of toasted marshmallows. Dunkin’s coffee has a slightly chocolatey character to it, and the vanilla and cream enhanced that. This drink reminded us of s’mores. As with the other sweetened syrups at Dunkin’, the French vanilla was quite strong, but it covered up the coffee less than the mocha or caramel syrups did. It was sweeter than we would’ve liked, but we could imagine many people enjoying this level of sweetness in an iced coffee drink.
The New Menu Items Include Three New Drinks And Two New Toasts
Spring is around the corner, ushering in blooming flowers, afternoon showers, and thawing of all of that winter cold. Dunkin’ is welcoming the change in seasons with new flavors. The chain introduced three new drinks to the menu and some tasty new bites to help fight off the cold-brew-induced jitters.
On the drink menu, you’ll find a Salted Caramel Signature Latte, a Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew, and a Shamrock Macchiato. The Salted Caramel Signature Latte can be served hot or iced and blends espresso and milk with salted caramel flavor. It is topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and cinnamon sugar. The Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew combines slow-steeped cold brew and salted caramel flavor and is topped with Salted Caramel Cold Foam. Both Salted Caramel drinks will be available for $3 between February 23 and March 22.
The Shamrock Macchiato, which arrives right on time for St. Patrick’s Day, has layers of espresso, Irish Creme flavor, and a mixture of sweet cream and vanilla flavors. The whole drink is tinted bright green, and Dunkin’ promises it will capture the experience of spring with every sip.
