Graduate level nursing has become more popular especially given the rise in distance education. More and more Masters nursing programs are available as online degree programs for working RNs and students located in areas not local to a nursing school.

On The Day Of The Test
- Testing occurs in Testing Services .
- Students should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to testing. ANY STUDENT ARRIVING LATE MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO TEST AND MAY HAVE TO PURCHASE ANOTHER TEST.
- Students will need to present a government-issued photo ID in order to test.
- Scratch paper will be provided.
- A calculator will be available online for use during testing.
- Cell phones, other electronic devices, hats/hoods, food & drink are prohibited in the testing area.
- If testing remotely students will be sent the login information the day before the exam.
- Students will login to the test and follow the steps provided by the testing service Proctorio.
Admissions Requirements: Allied Health Programs
Our Allied Health classes start about every 5 weeks, ten times per year, with programs offered at our campuses in Glendale and Mesa, Arizona. No GED or High School diploma is required.
- Educational Requirements: A High School Diploma, GED Verification Statement, or your enrollment in the ATB program.
- ATB Program: The ATB program allows you to enroll while also completing your high school diploma.

What Teas Score Do You Need For Nursing School
There is no standard score for passing the TEAS: the score you need for nursing school will depend on the school youre applying to and how competitive of an applicant you want to be. Your TEAS exam score will be used in conjunction with the other parts of your application to see if youd be a good fit for the program.
That being said, some nursing programs have minimum TEAS score requirements that you can find on the programs website or by calling the admissions office. These minimum passing scores do not guarantee you admission, but they ensure that the admissions committee will consider your application.
Here are some examples of minimum score requirements for the TEAS exam:

Some schools dont have a minimum score requirement but still require you to submit your TEAS scores as part of your application. You shouldnt take that to mean you can have a low score on your TEAS exam. You should always aim to have the highest possible TEAS score.

How Is The Teas Test Scored
Questions on the exam are given a wide range of point values that are used in a process known as equating. This scoring system randomly gives more weight to certain questions.
Students have no way of knowing how each question is weighed. So just take the test with the mindset of every question being equal.
Out of the 170 total questions found on the TEAS exam, only 150 of them are scored. 20 random questions are used for internal purposes and have no weight on the score. Students will not know which 20 questions are not scored.
Students receive a grading report that shows the percentage of questions that were answered correctly in each section. Furthermore, this report will also detail areas where the student should invest in further studies.
How The Teas Is Scored
The TEAS is comprised of 170 questions, only 150 of which are actually scored .
Of course, they don’t tell you which are graded questions and which are not, and no TEAS prep course can show you the difference, so you need to do your best on all of them. Your score will simply be the percentage of graded questions answered correctly.
For example, if you get 120 questions right out of the 150 total, your score will be 80%.

They also do this percentage calculation for each of the four subsections on the ATI TEAS test, yielding sub-content area scores.
After these calculations are complete, they adjust the final percentage scores to account for some tests being composed of more difficult TEAS questions than others.

What Is The Minimum Gpa Required For Admission To The Bachelor Of Science In Nursing Program At Roseman
Applicants must have a minimum 2.75 on a 4.0 scale for both their Math & Science prerequisites GPA as well as their cumulative GPA. GPA calculations are based on the Accelerated BSN program requirements. All prerequisite coursework must be completed with a C or better grade to be accepted for transfer. Please note that meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into the program.

When Should I Take The Teas
- Students must register for and take the TEAS test prior to their appropriate application deadline. Ideally, applicants should complete the TEAS prior to submitting the Supplemental Application for their intended program.
- It is recommended that students wait to take the TEAS until after developmental level courses are complete. This will not be possible for a small number of Practical Nursing applicants due to the timing of the LPN admission cycle.
