What Is Sweet Tea

EASY!! Quick Iced Tea Hack | 5 Minute Iced Tea Recipe | How to Make Iced Tea | RECIPE

Sweet tea is more than just adding a spoonful of sugar to a glass of iced tea. First off, its usually made in large batches and kept chilled in the fridge, ready for an afternoon visitor or an easy cool-down on a hot summer day.

Most recipes call for a relatively quick steep, anywhere from a few swishes of the tea bags through the hot water to a full five-minute dunk, though some Southerners like a nice long steep to make a stronger sweet tea. Mix the sugar into the hot tea so it dissolves completely I like the relatively mild sweetness of a cup of sugar in a gallon of tea, but you could certainly add more to suit your own personal taste.

Chill your sweet tea thoroughly before drinking it. I find the flavor actually changes and improves the more chilled the tea gets. Pour it over ice, and drink it straight, or add a sprig of mint or drop in a few lemon wedges. For a grown-up, after-work version, add a shot of bourbon or other favorite liquor.

So if you want to have the brilliant orange color and flavors like most of the Thai restaurants, then this is one of the brands of Thai tea to buy : Pantai.

What To Know About Tea Bags Versus Loose Leaf Tea

The difference between tea bag tea and loose tea is the leafs size and shape. According to Goggi, tea bags provide convenience and reproducibility while loose tea allows you to try individual teas or blend your own.

However, Goggi warned against falling into the trap of believing that all loose teas are great or that all tea bags are not, and he has found that some of the most expensive teas in the world are smaller-sized. You should judge a tea by your own desires some like it smoky , some like it light and bright , some like it thick and strong tea that is red and clear for iced tea , he said. You need to try different teas to both explore the many varieties as well as to find your favorite.

When shopping for both loose leaf and tea bags, smell is the biggest indicator of whether the leaf has gone bad or not, according to Formicola. More smell equals more flavor, she explained, noting that it can be really challenging to pick a good tea, mostly because they are packaged in colored and sealed bags to preserve their quality, so you might not be able to see these things.

This cold beverage is the perfect addition to meals out and about or on hot days when the Texas sun can leave me feeling extremely dehydrated.

Personally, I have strong feelings about ice tea and will only drink traditionally brewed iced tea with sweetener.

I wont even pollute my tea with lemon. Flavored iced teas have never resonated with me but I am in the minority on this.

My family loves flavored iced teas so we are including a fruit-infused iced tea option here as well. ;

Its quite simple to make but you do need to set some time aside for it to brew and it is best if it has a chance to chill in the fridge.
