With the launch of the new Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte, we were excited to taste it both hot and cold, and while we really like it warm, it’s kind of a letdown in the iced format. It’s not gross or undrinkable, it actually just tastes like an extra milky iced caramel latte, which isn’t inherently a bad thing. But it’s missing some of the more subtle toasty notes that come through in the warm version that we loved so much.
But it makes sense. While peppermint is inherently a cool flavor and tastes great in iced mocha form, toasted white chocolate is inherently a warm flavor that goes bland when it’s chilled. So for now we’ll pass on the iced Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte and order the warm version instead, no matter what the temperature outside is.
What Time Does Dunkin Donuts Close
Dunkin Donuts closes anywhere from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. depending on the stores location and time of the week. Many stores stay open until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and choose to close at 10 p.m. on weekends to accommodate the higher foot traffic on Friday and Saturday nights. Another issue some Dunkin customers are running into is ordering frozen coffee through the restaurant chains app. At the beginning of July 2022, Reddit user u/Cronotis shared a screenshot of the Dunkin app showing frozen coffee was no longer available for purchase.
The Reddit user says after emailing the coffee chain to inquire about the lack of product, he was told, the product is not one of our standard retail products. The agent who responded also noted that most of the Dunkin locations are independently owned and are able to decide whether they want to sell frozen coffee or keep it off their menu.
So, the next time you find yourself unable to get your hands on a Dunkin frozen coffee, you may be able to blame supply chain shortages or your local establishments decision to remove it from their menu.
Returning Drinks And Treats To Dunkin’s Holiday Menu
The holiday staple known as the peppermint mocha is returning to Dunkin’ as the signature latte this season. Just as it appeared last year, the drink is topped with whipped cream, a mocha drizzle, and a dusting of cocoa powder. Apart from the peppermint mocha signature latte, all of the additional holiday flavors are brand new to the menu.
Unfortunately, those who loved the signature gingerbread latte will not find it on the menu again this year. Clearly, the sugar plum macchiato was a flop from last year, too, as it’s nowhere to be found this year. It certainly did not get the best reviews apart from the pretty purple color . Regardless, the berry- and vanilla-flavored coffee drink did not return to the holiday drink menu this year.
