How to Make a Starbucks Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso AT HOME

Hello and happy Thursday! If you need some pep in your step today, I have just the thing for you: An Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Espresso Latte! So heres a little story for you. The other day I saw a Tik Tok video of a girl who works at Starbucks making their new drink a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso which supposedly launches in 2 weeks. Well, I got way too excited and decided I need the drink NOW. So, I hopped into the kitchen and got to work. Homemade brown sugar syrup? Check. Shaken espresso? Now that I know what that is, check. Oat milk? Always check. Always have oat milk in this house!

Basically, this drink is what dreams are made of. The brown sugar syrup is super easy and not only contains all that delicious brown sugar flavour, theres also vanilla and cinnamon in there. Also, dont let the fancy name scare you. Shaken espresso is literally just espresso with a few ice cubes, plus the syrup, shaken vigorously until foamy. Its pretty cool! Then, just add it all to your cup and top with oat milk. Thats it!

You can make a double batch or even quadruple batch of the syrup and just keep it in a jar in the fridge. That way you can make these all week and it will be faster than driving to your closest Starbucks! Now, Im sure this recipe isnt exact, as I havent actually tried the drink yet but I can safely say this drink is GOOD. So go ahead and treat yourself today! Its almost Friday and this coffee will get ya through. Promise!

Are Oat Milk Lattes Fattening

According to Horton, the fact that a grande-sized oat milk latte at Starbucks has 2 grams of fiber and 1 gram of protein is noteworthy, but the combination is not cause for celebration. There are around 270 calories in the beverage in this quantity, which is not an alarming amount. However, the drink has 28 grams of sugar and 42 grams of carbs in total, which may be more of a burden on your regular diet.

Does Brown Sugar Dissolve In Cold Coffee

Brown sugar, when infused into the cold brew while it is still infuse, adds a sweet and molasses flavor to the cold brew. When assembling your iced coffee, you wont need to use any added sugar or syrup.

This process is quick and simple all you need to do is prepare a cold brew ahead of time. Simple syrup, as the name suggests, is a simple syrup to make. Adding milk to your cold brew coffee is fine as long as it is organic. We also make our own vanilla coffee creamer and add it to brown sugar coffee. I used a French press to make the coffee and added 1 cup of finely ground Stumptown Coffee and 3 cups of water. After Ive reserved it for 14 hours in the fridge, I store it in a mason jar. Brown sugar syrup can be made with ease. If you want to make more, I used 12 cups of brown sugar.

One sip, and youll see why this iced shaken espresso is turning heads. It is refreshingly sweet yet packs a strong punch of caffeine. I was a little apprehensive that the grande, which comes with three shots, would be too strong for me . My barista recommended toning it down to two espresso shots, and Im so glad she did! I didnt taste an overwhelming amount of espresso, but it also didnt taste like I was drinking straight sugar.

I will say, make sure to stir or give your drink an extra shake before taking your first sip. Because the oat milk gets poured last, most of the espresso sinks to the bottom.
