Newest Update Not Great
As another review stated, the new update has changed your tabs from a list format to large squares that you have to scroll through. Its not user friendly and gets confusing because there is too much going on. Also for some reason, not sure if this is some user error or not, but since the update, I will get duplicate tabs that open, so it makes it even more frustrating having so many to go through, and now to delete as well.
Why Did You Make The New Font So Ugly
The thing I liked best about using this app to study over my hard copy of the scriptures was the experience I had when scrolling through the text. The last font, spacing and layout was very well done from an aesthetic point of view. It was pleasing to the eyes and made for not only a great tool but also a pleasing experience. Now the text is small and harsh and goes to the far extreme of both sides of the screen . Yes it provides more content on one page but that content is too small and difficult to use. Yes you can manually change the size of the text in tools but that only works for that one chapter. You have to repeat the process every time you advance a chapter. The irony is when you pull up the footnotes they are in the old font and size while the main text is in the new aesthetically challenged font. It makes me want to read only the footnotes. Why cant we have the best of all worlds, more info, pleasing aesthetics, pleasing font and for heavens sake some margins. All I know is that my study was more rewarding and spiritually focused in the last version. Isnt that what we are striving for?I look forward to an improvement in the next version. That or let those who want revert back to the old way or at least have that option.

The Historical DepartmentArchive Search Room also has the following types of historical records:
Minute Books from 1837 to 1977. You will find minutes of priesthood quorums, Relief Societies, other auxiliary organizations, and general ward and stake minutes. The minutes may provide dates of blessings, baptisms, confirmations, and ordinations that you will not be able to find elsewhere.
Quarterly Reports of branches, wards, stakes, and missions. These reports provide the names of the leaders in the various organizations. Stake and mission reports are available to the present. The ward and branch reports are available between 1956 and 1983.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more commonly known as the Mormons, has been an academic interest of the Penn community for decades. Heavily persecuted throughout the 19th century, and well into the 20th, the Church is now a worldwide denomination.
The Penn Libraries collection is rich in research materials connected to the Church. Our collection is of interest to those in history, religious studies, law, literature and politics. General in scope, it is broad enough to support all levels of research in those areas. Here is just a selection of those materials.

Histories Of Local Church Units
Many histories of wards, stakes, and missions are available at the Family History Library and the Church History Library. These unit histories sometimes include biographical sketches of members, photographs, maps, lists of ward officers, and a history of the local community. For books and articles that give short histories of many local Church units see:

The Church History Library has manuscript histories, and historical reports for local Church units from the 1830s to 1983. Since 1983, the yearly histories have been known as annual reports. Wards and branches submit their reports to the stake or mission, which compiles them and submits the reports to the Church History Library. These records often include the names of the Church units officers and teachers. Histories of the Mormon Battalion, the Pioneers of 1847, , and other prominent groups are also available.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rhode Island refers to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its members in Rhode Island. As of 2019, the LDS Church reported 4,259 members in 8 congregations in Rhode Island.
Official church membership as a percentage of general population was 0.38% in 2014. According to the 2014 Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life survey, less than 1% of Rhode Islanders self-identify themselves most closely with the LDS Church. The LDS Church is the 8th largest denomination in Rhode Island.

It is intended to be comprehensive. It includes citations to over 2,000 Latter-day Saint biographies and 800 published Latter-day Saint diaries. President Russell M. Nelson has said these corrections will better place Jesus Christ and His Atonement at the center of the Church and individual Latter-day Saint lives as we strive to make Him the focus of everything we do.
President Nelson talked about the full name of the Church in October 2018 general conference. Heres a summary of what he said.
