Anyway, a couple nights;later I took things up a notch and replaced the tonic with lemonade. Ding, ding, ding, we had;a winner!;The sweetness from the sweet tea vodka and tart lemonade mixed with muddled fresh lemon juice and fresh mint is craaaaazy good. SO refreshing! If you think youll miss the fizz of a;traditional mojito, then by all means sub the lemonade for club soda,;but do yourself a favor and try it with the lemonade too.
Heck,;summers short. Try em both!
In terms of cocktails, this ones a cinch to source and make. Youll need sweet tea flavored vodka, lemonade fresh mint, and lemons.;As I mentioned, I loved this drink with meyer lemons but they can be hard to come by. Regular lemons work just fine!
First squeeze 1/2 lemon into a;16oz mason jar or tumbler then add 5-6 sprigs fresh mint.
Next use the bottom of a wooden spoon and muddle the heck out of both the lemon half and mint.
Next, fill the jar up with ice;then;add 2oz sweet tea flavored vodka. I like Jeremiah Weed and Firefly brands.
Finally add 1/2 cup lemonade. Again, you could use club soda, or a mixture if you dont like your cocktails too sweet.
Screw;the lid on the jar then shake what your mama gave;ya.
Tip:;these drinks are AWESOME to make ahead of time. Simply muddle the mint and lemon/lemon juice, add the vodka and lemonade, and then screw on the top and pop in the fridge. When youre ready to drink, add ice then shake!
Grab a straw and youre set!

It taste like sweet iced tea, but alcoholic. The house wine of the South is how Dolly Partons character describes it in the movie Steel Magnolias.
Having this flavored vodka on hand makes mixing a late day cocktail easy and doable because there are;only two ingredients needed for this concoction.

Ive used martini glasses for this cocktail and theyre fun, but I really love these highball glasses. It really makes me feel like I am drinking an ice cold iced tea in the South .
If youre looking to fancy things up, then go martini glass. Make sure you add a floating lemon round on top for effect. Out of this recipe, you will probably have some leftover mix. Refrigerate until youre ready to be topped.

Who is game for a cocktail that only has 2 ingredients? Oh and that cocktail is also super delicious! Yessss. This Lushy Lemonade is my cocktail of choice lately. Made from Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and Lemonade, you really cant go wrong.
My brother in law, Matt, introduced me this yummy cocktail on my sisters birthday. He brought over a giant mason jar dispenser filled with this premixed cocktail.
Needless to say, I dont remember my sisters birthday.

Southern Cocktail Series The Spiked Arnold Palmer Aka John Daly Cocktail Aka Firefly Vodka Cocktail
We all know that an Arnold Palmer is a non-alcoholic beverage made with lemonade and iced tea.
The spiked Arnold Palmer is basically the same thing with the addition of some type of alcohol, usually vodka.
You can make this drink in two ways:
- You can make a spiked Arnold Palmer by mixing southern sweet tea with lemonade and adding vodka.
- Or you can make the Firefly cocktail version by mixing sweet tea vodka with lemonade.
Both are delicious and refreshing. Both are perfect on a warm summer day. We had them recently on a cold winter day and thought they were perfect then, too!
Lets talk first about Firefly cocktail version. Why? Because it is my favorite. I promise that this is not a sponsored post but the sweet tea vodka from Firefly Spirits? Yall! So good!
Firefly Spirits are made just outside of Charleston, South Carolina and this distillery created the worlds first sweet tea vodka. People in South Carolina know their sweet tea!
This version is super simple. You just stir some Firefly sweet tea vodka into some lemonade. Homemade lemonade is best, but I dare say that if you showed up at a gathering with a bottle of sweet tea vodka and a gallon of Chick-Fil-A lemonade you would be the star of the party.
I understand that you might not have access to sweet tea vodka, and if not Ive got you covered! You can make a spiked Arnold Palmer by making up a batch of sweet tea, then mixing the tea with lemonade and then adding a bit of vodka.

A: Of course, so obviously, some listeners may now have an inkling of what the brand is. The brand is Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, which was just a massive phenomenon when you guys released it. I cant wait to talk about the story behind that. Before we get into the story, talk about how you founded the distillery in the first place.
A: Interesting. When you first started it, what was your business plan? Did you have a business plan? Was this just for fun? Were you creating a regional company? When you were thinking about Firefly Distillery, what were your goals for the business?
A: First of all, why vodka? And why was it just Muscadine flavor? Was it because Jim had the Muscadine winery?

Production By The Sazerac Company
In October 2008, Firefly Distillery and the Sazerac Company formed a joint venture to produce Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka at Sazerac’s Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky and distribute the product through Sazerac’s distribution channels. Through this joint venture Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka was able to be distributed to all states by March 2009.
As of April 2016, the company’s web site says that “Firefly products that are sold outside of South Carolina are made at our sister distilleries in Kentucky”, and the Sazerac Company web site lists Firefly brand products in its brand portfolio.
