As the Christmas period slowly starts to begin we’re starting to see some festive treats in restaurants and cafes across the region.
Last year, Ullacombe Farm Shop and Cafe in Bovey Tracey introduced their ‘twisted afternoon tea’ and it’s back for 2021.
There has been a few changes made but you can still sink your teeth into a delicious turkey stuffing and cranberry sandwich with all the trimmings.
You can still opt to have their traditional afternoon tea for two but their festive one offers pigs in blankets, mozzarella, sweet chili sauce, mince pies and mini scones with cream and jam.
You’ll also get waffles, chocolate fondue, marshmallows and strawberries.
For £25 you can have it with a hot or soft drink but if you want a festive tipple it’ll cost £30 to have some bubbly with it.
There are also veggie options available so no one will miss out on the delicious Christmas treats.
Celebrations at Ullacombe started on October 18 as their winter menu became available for guests.
Last year, the twisted afternoon tea was really well received as on the first day it was offered the café had over 180 bookings from keen customers ready to have a taste of Christmas.
They also have a wide range of other food available on their winter menu.

A recent viral video of a confrontation between two men inside a gas station, where one is hit with a can of Twisted Tea after he shouted racial slurs at the other, happened in Ohio, according to local media reports.
The video, which has been posted on multiple social media sites, went viral and has been the subject of memes across the country.
One version of the has 2.3 million views, 1,500 comments, 13,000 retweets and 49,000 likes.
The incident occurred at a Circle K gas station in Elyria, Ohio, according to media reports.
Police were not called to the Circle K on Broad Street on Christmas Eve and no charges have been filed, according to 19 News Cleveland.
In the video, a white customer uses racial slurs multiple times while yelling at a Black customer in line behind him.
“What are you gonna do? Smack me with that?” the white man asks after seeing the other man pick up a can of Twisted Tea. “Smack me. Smack me.”
The Black man then smacks him with the can of Twisted Tea, which explodes. The two then get into a physical fight.
Kaleb Gregg, a cashier at the Circle K, did not comment on what happened that night to 19 News Cleveland, but said he doesnt ever want to see it happen again.
