Pumpkin Oatmilk Chai Tea Latte

This Starbucks chai latte drink, has two customizations.

First the milk is swapped out for oatmilk. To me, the oat flavor and chai combination are reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie.

Secondly, pumpkin spice sauce is combined with the chai tea.

Make note, however, this is not a dairy-free drink since the pumpkin sauce contains milk.

Iced Chai Tea Latte With Pumpkin Cold Foam At Starbucks

Starbucks Iced Chai Tea Latte with Pumpkin Cold Foam is a popular secret menu drink that brings together an iced chai tea latte and pumpkin cream cold foam topping.

This customized chai drink does not have pumpkin spice in the actual drink. However, it has a decadent layer of pumpkin cream cold foam topping that cascades into the chai.

If desired, you can add a dusting of pumpkin pie spices on top.

Make note, this seasonal latte is only available for a limited time beginning in August every year when Starbucks Pumpkin Spice drinks return to the fall menu.

Luckily, a regular Iced Chai Tea Latte is always on the menu.

Vanilla Chai Tea Latte

A regular chai tea latte, hot or iced, is a combination of chai concentrate and milk.

One customer-favorite drink modification is to order a vanilla chai latte. Your barista creates this latte by incorporating a few pumps of regular vanilla syrup or sugar-free vanilla syrup.

Other simple syrups like cinnamon dolce or gingerbread are equally delicious in a chai latte.

Just keep in mind, additional syrup increases the chai lattes overall sweetness.

Chai Concentrate From Tea Bags

This is my favorite method because chai tea bags are easy to find and have a long shelf life. You can also use as much of any sweetener of choice or make a sugar free chai latte. You can easily whip up a small or large batch of the concentrate and you only need 2 ingredients, tea bags and water. I steep 2 tea bags in about ½ cup of boiling water for about 8 minutes. Sweeten with honey, sugar, brown sugar, stevia, monk fruit, Splenda, etc.

Chai concentrate to milk ratio: 1:1

Pumpkin spice drinks from Starbucks generally are not considered to be healthy. Most of them contain a significant amount of sugar, calories, and fat. However, there are some pumpkin spice drinks on the menu that are lower in sugar and calories. For example, the pumpkin spice latte made with skim milk only has 190 calories and 27 grams of sugar. There are also pumpkin spice drinks that are made with sugar-free syrup, which can help to reduce the amount of sugar and calories.

People Ask What Is A Pumpkin Chai

The easiest way to answer this is to say that pumpkin chai is a popular beverage that is especially enjoyed during the fall season. Pumpkin chai is almost synonymous with falling leaves, Halloween, and cooler weather.

Technically though, pumpkin chia is a special combination of chai tea with pumpkin puree.

Because this pumpkin chia is a ‘latte’, it is topped with a foam topping. Also, this beverage is seasoned with tasty fall spices.

Starbucks Chai Tea Latte Ingredients

  • Water. To make the chai tea concentrate.
  • Chai tea bags. Theres a few different brands of chai tea, and you can find it at pretty much all grocery stores and Target.
  • Ground cinnamon + ground nutmeg. I like to add a little extra cinnamon and nutmeg to my chai tea lattes.
  • Maple syrup or honey. I like to make lattes with natural sweeteners, such as maple syrup or honey, but you can also use granulated sugar. Just make sure whatever sweetener you use, you mix it in while the chai tea concentrate is hot so that the sweetener dissolves.
  • Milk. I like to use whole or 2% milk for a creamier latte that resembles a latte you would get a Starbucks, but feel free to use milk alternatives, if desired.

A seasonal Proffee recipe that will take the basic recipe to the next level. Simply add a scoop of your favorite plain protein powder to the mix and blend that baby up! Starbucks Vanilla Chai Tea Latte

Starbucks already does a blonde vanilla latte that combines its standard latte with vanilla syrup. It may come as no surprise that this flavor combo also works really well with chai tea in place of coffee.

Chai tea concentrate already contains vanilla extract, sugar, and honey so when you add extra sweetener in the form of vanilla syrup you may find the drink overwhelmingly sweet. If youre watching those calories then you can always opt for sugar-free vanilla syrup instead.

If vanilla isnt your cup of tea then you can always try with a different flavored syrup such as cinnamon dolce to sweeten your latte.

Whats A Pumpkin Chai Latte

Pumpkin Chai Latte

Chai spices and pumpkin spices have many spices in common, like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.

But, what pumpkin spice doesnt contain, and that makes chai drinks so special, is the touch of cardamom, cloves, star anise, and ground pepper.

When both spice mixes come together into a latte hot drink, you create the most fragrant, comforting fall drink that I love to call Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte.

Of course, you can add caffeine to the drink by adding brewed coffee or tea bags, but its also a delicious caffeine-free fall drink on its own with real pumpkin flavors.

What Is Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Pumpkin spice syrup is a type of simple syrup made famous by Starbucks. Many people love to enjoy pumpkin spice lattes at the start of autumn all the way through to the winter months. This kind of syrup is commonly used to flavour lattes, iced teas and other fabulous coffee shop drinks. Pumpkin spice syrup is also known as pumpkin spice sauce or pumpkin pie sauce.

What Pumpkin Syrup Does Starbucks Use

Im not 100% sure what pumpkin syrup Starbucks uses or the exact ingredients, however, I know that they use a mixture of pumpkin spice, condensed milk, pumpkin puree, preservatives and even e-numbers. My recipe is a little different, but its still lush plus I use simple ingredients and I think its the best for using in tea and in coffee.

I leave out the condensed milk for one reason and thats to make it inclusive for everyone. These days not everyone has dairy in their diet. Afterall, you can easily add dairy or a plant based milk of choice at the time of making your tea/coffee. And then top with whatever type of cream that your heart desires.
