Does Mega T Green Tea Work

Does Green Tea really help you lose weight fast?

I personally, would like to see a head-to-head comparison of the weight loss power between Mega T Green Tea and regular green tea . While I think for the most part, the ingredients in Mega T Green Tea are tame compared other products I’ve reviewed previously, what I see about liver problems and fo ti, and gotu kola make me go hmmm.

What I did like about the Mega Tea website is that they emphasized the role of exercise and healthy foods and even stress reduction. I also liked that they said that taking more of the green tea supplement would not speed up weight loss. ;I suggest that people who take any medications or who have health issues see their doctor before using Mega T Green Tea. Write down the ingredients and show them to your doctor and let the doctor make the call on whether this green tea supplement is ok for you. Or just drink green tea instead.

Drinking regular green tea may not help you lose any weight, according to a clinical study published in the September 2012 issue of Obesity, which compared the effects of drinking regular green tea and a catechin-rich green tea on weight loss in a group of men and women with Type 2 diabetes.

While the group drinking catechin-rich tea lost a half-pound over the 12-week study period, the group drank a lower-catechin green tea gained half a pound.

Of the studies that show green tea might offer some weight loss benefits, the amount of weight lost isn’t significant, according to a review study published in December 2012 in Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews.

How Does Green Tea Help You Lose Weight? â heathhomeshop

Antioxidants are plant compounds that help us to fight against free radicals particles that increase oxidative stress in our bodies. As green tea is minimally processed, it contains more antioxidants, and subsequently health benefits than black tea.4

Green tea contains a group of antioxidants called polyphenols, which make up to 30% of its dry weight. Most of these are flavonols, commonly known as catechins. Green tea catechins have been subject to many studies, with scientists becoming more and more interested in catechins ability to aid fat loss.

Tea catechins, particularly EGCGs , appear to have anti-obesity effects. This can be due to a number of reasons. Recent findings from human studies have found that consuming green tea and green tea extracts may help to reduce body weight and fat, by increasing our bodies metabolism and fat oxidisation.

One study on obese males found that EGCG alone has the potential to increase fat oxidisation in humans. Participants who were given 300mg of EGCG for two days experienced increased fat oxidisation than those given a placebo.5

A lot of studies into green tea use green tea extract, which is more potent than a cup of brewed green tea. Thats not to say you cant match the content of green tea extract with the drink, youll just have to drink more.
