Twisted Tea Vs Beer Alcohol Content
Technically, a Twisted Tea has more alcohol than a standard beer. Take this news with a grain of salt, since Twisted Tea contains a few percent greater alcohol content.
Twisted Tea has a 5% alcohol level on average per can. Popular beers, such as Bud Light, have an alcohol concentration of 4.2 percent per can. Corona Beer has a 4.8 percent alcohol level per can, whereas Moretti Beer has a 4.6 percent alcohol content per can.
Why Should You Avoid Consuming Twisted Tea Frequently
Twisted Tea is acidic like beer, while tea has caffeine and other compounds which could harm you in the long run.
Alcohol-based beverages can have a high acid content. Besides the alcohol, other factors could contribute to the acid content. Tea also has acids namely chlorogenic acid, tannic acids, and Malic acid, which makes them count as an acidic beverage. Flavors such as lemon could also increase the pH of Twisted Tea.
All the values below 7 are acidic. The lower the pH value, the more the acid content. The pH of beer lies at around 4, which is sufficiently acidic. The acid content in Twisted Tea would be similar to that of beer.
The acidic pH of alcoholic beverages and tea is known to trigger GERD symptoms in people who drank regularly. Men and women who participated in a study exhibited symptoms associated with GERD. Some people can experience painful Gastrointestinal symptoms if they consume acidic beverages regularly. Even if you do not experience such adverse effects, it is still advisable to adhere to moderate caffeine and alcohol consumption.
The GERD can be painful and unpredictable but is manageable if you make the right choices. Some foods and beverages trigger this chronic condition caffeinated, acidic, and high-fat foods.
The stimulating effect of caffeine lasts for a short while, after which it can cause some people to crash. A caffeine crash is identified by sudden fatigue and sleepiness.
How Much Alcohol In Twisted Tea
The alcohol content of the twisted tea is 5 percent, and in Twisted Tea Light its 4 percent alcohol per volume. The alcohol content in beer is identical to that of tea twisted, which means that twisted tea gets you drunk just as fast as beer.
With just one percent increase over the standard Twisted Tea, the lighter version can take a little longer to get you drunk like beers.

How Much Sweetener To Add
I like making sweet tea vodka myself because I get to decide how much sweetener to add. Instead of granulated sugar, I use simple syrup which is equal parts sugar and water heated until clear. If you plan on pairing your Sweet Tea Vodka mostly with lemonade I recommend adding 2 4 Tablespoons simple syrup to the tea vodka. If you plan on drinking it with plain water, Id add somewhere between 6 8 Tablespoons simple syrup.
Remember, you can always add more sweetener, but you cant take it away!

What Is Organic Tea
People have been drinking tea for a few thousand years when there was no need for organic production at all. It was before the land was polluted and GMOs invented. Legend has it that tea was first discovered about 5000 years ago by a Chinese emperor and a father of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shen Nong. A tea leaf accidentally fell into his cup with hot water. Naturally curious about herbs, he drank it. As his skin was transparent, he could immediately see the impact it had on his body.
The first tea was harvested from wild tea trees and not from cultivated tea plants. Therefore, all tea was originally organic. In fact, some old tea trees are still freely growing in China. Even after a few hundred years, they still have much to offer, and they are the closest to organic production as possible. However, they will never be labeled as organic.
Organic tea is all tea grown following organic principles set out by the USDA in the US, IFOAM in Europe, or other organizations in their home countries. Four principles of organic agriculture say that it:
- has to sustain and enhance the healthy soil, animals, plants and people
- should be based on living ecological systems is supposed to be fair
- should protect the health and well-being of current and future generations and environment
The land has to be pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals-free for three years prior to certification. Organic products cannot contain any engineered nano-particles or GMOs.
