A review of the evidence shows that green tea compounds result in a modest but sustainable reduction in weight. Across 11 studies that met the criteria for inclusion in the review, subjects lost an average of 1.31 kg. Usually, this weight was lost over a 12-week period and was a long-lasting effect .
