Your Teas Score Report

TEAS Science Practice Test

After completing the test, candidates will receive a report on the percentage of correct answers on your test. However, the time to receive the report will vary, depending on the exam format you choose. To be more specific, you can receive your score as soon as you complete the final answer in case you take the test via electronic formats. On the contrary, if you take the paper exam, you need to wait longer to receive the results. The reason behind this waiting time is that your test will be sent to ATI for grading.

In the score report, there will be 3 different parameters:

  • Total Score: This is the overall score for your entire test. It will assess your overall capacity.
  • Content Area Score: This is a score calculated specifically for independent sections. You can rely on it to know your strengths, weaknesses as well as additional knowledge.
  • Sub-Content Area Score: This is the score calculated for the sub-categories in the test.

Note: The total score of the test does not represent the average TEAS test score of the 4 sections. Each section will have a different score.

The Program Mean Score is the total score of the test takers divided by the average. However, this score will only be calculated within a particular test program type. In addition, the Program Percentile Rank will show the percentage of students who scored higher/equal to/lower than you in that program area.

The Role Of The Cardiac System

The human heart is a hollow organ that lies between the left and right lungs, slightly on the left side, and quite close to the center of the chest. It is protected within the body by the ribs. The heart is an involuntary muscle that contracts and relaxes so that it is able to send and pump blood throughout the entire body. This pumping action is enabled by the electrical impulses that it conducts from and to the areas of the heart itself.

The heart cycle consists of two phases which are systole and diastole. Systole is the contraction of the heart and diastole is the rest phase of the heart. Each beat of the heart consists of both systole and diastole. The lub dub of the heart is systole and diastole, respectively.

Under normal circumstances, the heartbeats from 60 to 100 times per minute or from 3,600 beats to 6,000 per hour. A pulse rate of less than 60 per minute is called bradycardia or a slower than normal heart rate and a pulse rate of more than 100 per minute is referred to as tachycardia or a more rapid than normal heart rate.

The amount of energy associated with an objects motion may be quantified through a calculation of its kinetic energy , or energy of motion. Any increase in an objects velocity will result in a dramatic increase in the objects KE. Specifically, any doubling of the velocity will cause the KE to increase by a factor of four times.

The amount of stored energy in an object may be quantified through a calculation of its potential energy , or stored energy. Energy may be stored in several ways, as in a common battery cell or the gasoline in a fuel tank. The Earths gravity may also store energy when an object is held at a certain height.
