Does Drinking It Calm People With Anxiety And Depression
No matter what type of decaffeinated tea you choose, there is evidence that supports the fact that drinking tea will help calm those suffering from anxiety in depression.
There are three reasons why this is the case:
Make Your Morning Tea The Second Cup
If youre addicted to coffee, make one of the above teas the second cup of the morning, or even the third.
You will still be getting the benefits, without giving up your morning coffee, so it will still help. Why miss out on so many other benefits when you can just shuffle the drinks to later in the morning.
How To Make Tea With Keurig Brewer
Making tea in a Keurig coffee maker is really simple. Its really no different from using coffee pods for Keurig machines, you just swap out the java for tea pods. Make sure your Keurigs water reservoir is full . Lift the handle and place your tea k-cup in the receptacle, press the handle down, and select your cup size. Pop a mug under the spout, press the brew button, and wait for your tea to brew and pour.
We dont recommend putting tea bags or loose tea in your Keurig receptacle as it can clog and cause all kinds of technical headaches. If youre in a pinch, just pop a tea bag in your mug and use the plain hot water dispenser from your keurig to make a traditional brew.

Green tea is considered one of the healthiest types of tea. Like other true teas, it’s made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. Modern scientific research has shown the health benefits of tea range from boosted immunity to a lower chance of developing a serious disease.
Green tea, in particular, may help to lower the risk of heart disease by lowering blood pressure when consumed regularly . In addition to heart benefits, green tea may help to improve weight loss and exercise performance and is packed with antioxidants . These antioxidants include polyphenols and catechins like EGCG, or epigallocatechin gallate, which has been linked to lower LDL cholesterol and also boasts anti-inflammatory properties .
This particular green tea is one of the most loved teas on the planet. Sencha is a Japanese tea like matcha where the green tea leaves are steamed during the drying process. It features a vegetal flavor that has hints of seaweed and grassy notes. It is mildly sweet and offers a medium body.
Silver Moonlight Wild White Tea
White tea is a true tea that offers a delicate and nuanced flavor profile. It’s a great introductory tea for beginner tea drinkers thanks to its mild flavor yet it’s also suited to more advanced palettes as it has layers of flavor that emerge with each sip.
The light, pale tea has a mild floral flavor that has hints of almonds. It’s the perfect blend of elegant and modest and is a tea that stands out without any bells and whistles. How To Maintain A Tea Maker
When you have bought your tea maker you should keep it in the best possible condition! Luckily, many of the options are pretty simple to clean.
Some tea makers can go in the dishwasher . The GROSCHE Aberdeen Perfect Tea Maker is a product you can use the dishwasher to clean.
It is important that you dont use brushes or abrasive cleaning products to wash your tea maker. Instead, rinse with soap and hot water. You should also use soft clothes to wash down the actual container that the tea is brewed within.
Maintaining a tea maker doesnt have to be particularly difficult, but it is important that you rinse and wash quickly after brewing. Tea can dry on and prove to be a hotspot for mold if you dont look after your tea maker.

How Do You Start Drinking Tea
You dont necessarily need any special equipment to start drinking tea. All you need are some tea leaves, some hot water, and something to brew your tea in. This can be a tea pot, tea infuser mug, or even a simple tea filter and your favorite cup.
If youre new to tea, its a good idea to experiment with different types of tea in order to find your favorites. Our tea sample packs are a great option for beginner tea drinkers to explore the world of tea.
Celestial Seasoning Honey Vanilla Chamomile
Celestial Seasonings sells some of our favorite flavored teas, so we were excited to try their Honey Vanilla Chamomile blend. The soothing flavor of honey vanilla mixed with chamomile and a light touch of orange blossom really hit the spot for us, especially as a before-bed treat. We also liked it as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or decaf morning tea.
The convenient bags made this tea easy to prepare. The blend tasted great piping hot and paired nicely with desserts like cookies and pie because the flavor wasn’t overpowering.
However, we had to take points off for the same reason as the other teas listed above though. Since the flavor of the tea is quite light, the tea bags don’t last beyond an initial steep. Refilling with hot water the second time around just wasn’t the same, so we had to use a new tea bag for a second cup. We felt like we went through the box way too fast. Sometimes, the flavor wasn’t even that strong on the first steep.

Health Benefits Of Tea: Green Black And White Tea
Tea is a name given to a lot of brews, but purists consider only green tea, black tea, white tea, oolong tea, and pu-erh tea the real thing. They are all derived from the Camellia sinensis plant, a shrub native to China and India, and contain unique antioxidants called flavonoids. The most potent of these, known as ECGC, may help against free radicals that can contribute to cancer, heart disease, and clogged arteries.
All these teas also have caffeine and theanine, which affect the brain and seem to heighten mental alertness.
The more processed the tea leaves, usually the less polyphenol content. Polyphenols include flavonoids. Oolong and black teas are oxidized or fermented, so they have lower concentrations of polyphenols than green tea but their antioxidizing power is still high.
Here’s what some studies have found about the potential health benefits of tea:
