My mom Doris was only given 3 months to live because of Large B cell progressive lymphoma. She has now gained weight, living to the fullest. Most of the websites that promote Essiac use opinions not backed up by research. Some of this information is often anecdotal evidence. That means it is based on hearsay.
The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre tested Essiac in the laboratory. They found it had no anti-cancer features.
The National Cancer Institute in the U.S tested Essiac several times. Their testing found that Essiac had no anti-cancer effects. One study in 2006 found that when Essiac was added to breast cancer cells in test tubes, it stimulated the cancer cells to grow.
In 2009 researchers reviewed all studies into Essiac and Essiac preparations. They found there were no well carried out clinical trials to show that Essiac can help with cancer.
The CAM-Cancer organisation reviews scientific research evidence. In 2011, they looked at all the reviews about Essiac and Flor Essence. They couldnt find any well carried out clinical studies. They said that some of its ingredients could cause harm.

In February of 2013 I had a total hysterectomy due to synchronous dual primary endometrial and uterine cancer. The cancer was remover from my body. Hi everyone! I wanted to share a small testimony with you all! Recently I purchased 3 lbs of your tea and I’m taking 6 oz three times a day. I must say that I have noticed several changes in the three weeks I’ve been doing this.
I had many liver spots on my arms and hands and now they have gone.
I also had moles under my armpits and they are gone as well.
My bowels move better. I’m not having the discomfort in my upper mid section and my food consumption has decreased. I sleep better and have cut back on my coffee to only one a day and only on weekends.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was tested with a Gleason scale of 7 The Cancer is contained according to the M.R.I exam but I’m not liking the options of radation or total removal. To many side affects and damage resulting in permanent damage.

The National Cancer Institute of Canada in 1998 published a report, Unconventional therapies for cancer: 1. Essiac. The Task Force on Alternative Therapies of the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative, which concluded: For most of the products reviewed, there has been some indication of possible benefit but no definitive evidence.
