Which Suits You Better A Latte Or Coffee

In general, a latte is a better choice than regular coffee because it contains more milk and less coffee. This makes it sweeter and creamier, which most people prefer.

However, coffee is lower in calories than a latte. So if youre looking for a healthier option that still tastes good, go with coffee!

If youre unsure which might be the better pick for you, I recommend the following:

    • A latte is richer and creamier than a regular coffee. This drink is perfect for you if you prefer a milk-forward flavor with just a bit of coffee flavor.
    • Regular coffee might be the better pick if you prefer a stronger drink that is higher in caffeine that has almost no calories.

Personally, I prefer regular coffee because I like the flavor of pure coffee without any added flavors, but I know some people who prefer lattes.

It just depends on your personal preference and if you like to add milk to your coffee.

Caffeine In Lattes Vs Coffee: The Bottom Line

    Endeared

If you prefer your coffee strong with the maximum amount of caffeine, then regular coffee may be for you. However, if you dont mind a little less caffeine and care more about flavor, then lattes may be more your speed. And remember, you can always add another shot of coffee or espresso to your line today to give it more of a kick.

If youre new to drinking coffee, it may take a bit of trial and error before you find the perfect way to make your drink so that it tastes great and packs the extra punch that youre looking for.

How Starbucks Makes Iced Chai Latte

There are 3 ingredients in a Starbucks Iced Chai Latte:

    • Chai concentrate,

They fill about of the cup with chai concentrate, then pour a cup of milk and fill the rest with ice.

Now, if you try to copy this, with most chai concentrates youll get a very weak iced chai latte. Starbucks chai concentrate is not for sale, and most concentrates ask for a 1:1 concentrate to milk ratio.

Dont try to copy the proportions above with 1:1 store-bought or this homemade chai concentrate.

Starbucks also uses triple filtered water for theirs, but I doubt everyone can triple filter their water . If you can, use filtered water for making ice.

Dont have a filter? Boil the water for 5 minutes and wait for it to cool, or leave a jar with water sitting in the counter overnight. That gets rid of the chlorine and makes a better-tasting ice.

Toppings Can Add Extra Caffeine Too

Pin by Shalanda Shannon on Caffeine kick

Chocolate lovers, we have bad news. Whenever you top your Starbucks latte with mocha syrup, chocolate curls, and cocoa powder, youre adding extra caffeine to your drink.

Caffeine isnt only in coffeeits in stuff like chocolate, tea, soda, energy drinks, chewing gum, candy, and even pain and allergy medicine. All of those things, including the chocolate syrup you generously drizzle on your latte, count towards your daily limit of caffeine.

But there cant be that much caffeine in chocolate right?

Actually, there is fair bit of caffeine in chocolate! Just one ounce of dark chocolate contains a whopping 12 mg of caffeine, which is a lot more than we were expecting. One tablespoon of cocoa powder contains the same amount, which was also surprising.

Chocolate syrup contains a lot less caffeine in comparison. Two tablespoons contain just 2 mg of caffeine. While we couldnt find any nutritional info on mocha syrup, your favorite Starbucks drizzle should have comparable levels of caffeine because its basically fancy chocolate sauce!

So even though those chocolate curls, cocoa powder, and mocha syrup on your morning latte seem like small and insignificant toppings, theyll add a fair bit of extra caffeine to your drink!
