- The ATI TEAS Reading section is 64 minutes long and contains 53 questions. The questions are often preceded by a long or short passage.

- Manage your time! Make sure you pace yourself. Practice at home with TEAS practice reading materials, and estimate how much time you need to allot to each question.
- Pay attention to the wording in questions. The wording in the question itself will usually provide helpful hints that can lead you toward the correct answer.
Who Should Register For The Ati Teas Test
- All students who apply for admission to the Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Blended Registered Nursing, RN for Paramedic and Military, the Radiography, LPN-RN Bridge and the Dental Hygiene Programs at CCBC will be required to participate in pre-admission testing prior to the ATI TEAS deadline for the respective program.
- We recommend registering and completing the exam early. No extensions are granted.
- You may register to take the TEAS exam at a CCBC testing center or at a PSI testing center.

The Capital Area School of Practical Nursing requires prospective students to take the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills pre-entrance examination. All applicants are required to take and pass the pre-entrance examination regardless of college hours or ACT scores. Applicants may take the TEAS exam three times per calendar year.However, TWO WEEKS must have passed since your last exam date before you can test again. You must achieve an individual score of 54% in each portion of the exam excluding Science. Therefore a score of 54% in Mathematics, 54% in Reading Comprehension, and a 54% in English along with a score of 40.4% in Science must be achieved to be considered a passing score.
The first step to requesting an exam date is to apply to our program. This requires the Personal Information Form, or Online Application, and the Release of Criminal Background Form, found in the application packet, along with the $75.00 application fee. If you have not paid the application fee and submitted the required forms, your request to take the exam will be DENIED AND YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF IT HAS BEEN PAID ONLINE.
Applicants must pay the examination fee AT LEAST one week in advance to schedule an exam date. If CASPN has not received payment by the week prior to your exam date, you will not be allowed to take the exam on the requested date and it is up to you to reschedule your TEAS exam.
The final step to requesting an exam date is to register.

The organization that created and that evaluates the TEAS is called Assessment Technologies Institute . They have a study guide that you can get if you register at least a couple of weeks before the test. That lead time lets the guide arrive before you have to go sit for the exam. Use this study guide in addition to these tips to get the most out of the time you have — the guide covers all of the subjects you’ll face on the exam. You won’t see the question ahead of time, of course, but you’ll still be better prepared for whatever shows up.

If you have taken the TEAS at another testing facility, you can send your results electronically to AHU for a fee of $27.00. to send your results.
***If you have taken your TEAS test here at AdventHealth University, you won’t need to electronically send it to us. ATI automatically forwards to us your results if you took it here. ATI states that if you are taking the TEAS exam at a school testing facility, your test results will automatically be forwarded to that school, in addition to any other school that you have requested herein to receive your test results.
